Millenniumtour 2009
In October 2009 a group of 8 young VoiceOver members joined the Millenniumtour 2009. The goal of this week was to inform the Dutch youth about the Millennium Development Goals.
They travelled around the country to visit schools, went to NGO’s, had interviews with journalists and debated with young future leaders.

Security and development 2007
Should Dutch troops stay in Afghanistan? How can the Netherlands contribute to the Darfur mission? These are topics discussed everyday in the Dutch debate.
But where are the voices of people living in the countries we discuss.

37 members from (post) conflict zones visited the Netherlands in September 2007. VoiceOver members discussed the relation between security, political stability and development and the role of the Netherlands in peace keeping missions. During this week they shared their experiences, ideas and views with each other, journalists, politicians, policy makers and the Dutch public.

Worldconnectors
Worldconnectors are prominent professionals from the NGO sector, government, business, media, politics or youth representatives. World connectors strive for a just, sustainable, inclusive and peaceful world. A world where the Netherlands plays a proactive role. Worldconnectors meet at least four times a year, carry on a dialogue about international issues and summon urgent attention to the public debate over solutions and innovative initiatives.

VoiceOver 2015’s role
In forming their statements, Worldconnectors involve the voice of the South. Ideas for statements are placed on our online forum, where VoiceOver members can react to them. In this manner, VoiceOver 2015 can influence Worldconnectors’ opinions.

Organizing a debate in The Netherlands?

For example:

• online for example by posting a statement on the forum
• invite a VoiceOver member who is currently in The Netherlands
• VoiceOver member/s as jury
