VoiceOver 2015 A network of people from developing countries that contributes to the Dutch debate with their opinions on international cooperation. On the website they shares information about the reality of living in a developing country. VoiceOver is an initiative of NCDO.
Why VoiceOver 2015? NCDO involves people in the Netherlands in international cooperation and supports them with information and advice. However, very often The Netherlands discusses the rest of the world without listening to the people of whom it concerns. This is where VoiceOver comes in.
What is VoiceOver 2015 doing? On the website members share ideas, plans, photos, videos with each other, (future) politicians, journalists and the Dutch public. They give information about their country, results and ideas for development cooperation from their own perspective.
Members contribute to different projects of NCDO (in person or on the website). For example: - The Third Chamber
- WorldConnectors: (Dutch) opinion leaders in the public, business, policy and/or political arena.
- MillenniumBattle: Students work together in teams on cases about the MDG's.
- Campaigns for the MDG's (communication and media projects).
- Conferences: Members participate in conferences in the Netherlands (in person or by video).
A few times a year small groups of active members will be invited to join several NCDO activities in The Netherlands . (Travel and accommodation expenses are covered by NCDO).
Application All nationals of a developing country as defined in the DAC list of the OECD pdf. are welcome to register as a member (also if you live temporarily in The Netherlands).
