OUR ENVIRONMENT SAFE?

Dear Members,
All human activities have an effect on the earth-planting crops or digging a well. But none of this activities, which have been going on for thousands of years, threaten our climate. The problem lies in what we have been doing for the past 150 years.
* Our heavy use of fossil fuels, which release large amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
* The destruction of large forested areas that absorbed carbon dioxide.
*The use of synthetic chemicals that have intense warming effects in the atmosphere and destroy the ozone layer.
Some of the possible consequences of global warming are very serious-flooding, drought, severe storms, and disappearance of species.Flooding alone could cause millions of people, many of them from developing world, to loose their homes.
In his World Day of Peace Message in 1990, Pope John Paul II reminded us that to be at Peace with nature, we must be at peace with God and with one another.
We did not set out to do harm by our activities, but now that we understand what we have done, we must begin to repair the damage. The atmosphere that surrounds the Earth is part of the home that God has given us.It is our test yo repair it and take good care of it in the future.

"I am because you are and you are because I am".Its a very positive factor in my life that I appreciate you.Welcome we share a clear vision of our destination. Its vital we become master in some things, then transform them into a viable venture

Re: OUR ENVIRONMENT SAFE?
We can continue to do the little we are already doing within our communities but who will tell the US, China and others to reduce their emissions? Lest you forget! Ezekiel Ole Katato
