Event summary
The event was branded as Creating Peace Together.
“CREATING PEACE TOGETHER” Program is an after-math of various deliberation and comprehensive considerations by MASTERPEACE KENYA in a bid to various social challenges affecting the young people living in the informal settlements areas of Mathare and the surrounding. Mathare area has been in the past the scene of loss of lives due to ethnicity. MASTERPEACE KENYA desires to involve the youth directly in being part of the wider goal of community transformation through different specific activities to realize Masterpeace spirit.
Therefore the CREATING PEACE TOGETHER Event would facilitate a collection of many diverse talent and positive interest that the young people have and see them display them through competition and other official activities by engaging everyone’s participation, thus, being part of Masterpeace.

It was during the International World Peace day that MASTERPEACE KENYA organized an event namely TUDUMISHE AMANI PAMOJA EVENT. The following activities were involved; Football tournament, Tree planting and Community clean up and service Exercise. Sports programs have served as effective tool for social mobilization, supporting health activities such as HIV/AIDS education and immunization campaigns. We intend to continue through the same methodologies by the availability of Resources.
The activities involved.
-Tree planting one day exercise 45 seedlings were planted
-Community clean up exercise were conducted within the school compound and the surrounding and Mathare slums during the opening ceremony.
-Football tournament was the main mobilization activity which took four days.

Our theme of celebration was ”Tudumishe Amani pamoja” (Creating peace together)
