my motivation to participate : I actively participate in international cooperation initiatives through my full-time job and my voluntary activities. I am thrilled by the existance of this platform that gives the opportunity to exchange and discuss about development and the role of the Netherlands‘ aid in it.
what I want to work on : + Peace and Conflict prevention + Environment + Gender/ equal rights + Education + Democratization + Sports + Migration
what I want to work on more specific : People‘s mobility has direct effects in development. I am interested in the linkages between migrations, skilled diasporas as well as other profiles of people on the move and the impact on their country of origin as well as host. Also in particular how information and communication technologies (ICT) play a role in this relationship. I am also interested in the appropriation processes of ICT by rural communities, youth and women, and how this impact their development.
my personal slogan : “What enters your head, leaves your head. What enters your heart, stays in your heart.“ From Atahualpa Yupanqui, the late Argentine poet, singer, musician. Social development is in my heart and drives my life: knowledge economy, conflict, poverty, entrepreneurship, technologies, all pieces of the big development puzzle I try to address with little steps daily through my work and interactions.
